As a professor, Terrence Wandtke’s teaching is all about making connections, exploring both old media and new. As a scholar, his writing examines our culture as reflected and shaped by media ranging from classic movies to contemporary comic books. And as the director of the film and media program, he invites students to use emerging technology in innovative ways to shape the world for the better. Terrence Wandtke teaches courses in film, literature, and media theory. Dr. Wandtke’s books include The Dark Night Returns: The Resurgence of Crime Comics (2014) and The Meaning of Superhero Comic Books (2012).
